For those of you familiar with Green Acres, you surely remember Mr.Haney. It seems that Mr. Douglas always had something wrong with their house. Mr. Haney always seemed to have some tool or concoction to fix the problem -always at an interesting price. In the episode titled The Free Paint Job. Mr. Haney informs Mr. Douglas that he needs to purchase a pore key spring so that the paint will not be immediately absorbed by the house. At only $982 Mr. Douglas is skeptical as to the necessity of the pore key spring. Given that his house is constructed of genuine Mississippi Chitlin Wood, Mr. Douglas learns the hard way that a pore key spring is a necessity. The wheezing sounds the house makes are indeed the capper of this episode.
Home renovation in Seattle often makes one feel as though we live in Hooterville.
